Hello all LJ users, and all none LJ users. It has been awhile since I left a post on my LJ journal!! Right now is summer and I am practically bored to death. I have nothing to do but read manga. I am trying desperatly to get myself a part time job but I am not doing so well on that. I have recentely gone on a manga buying craze and I can't seem to stop. I am broke, yet I still can't stop. Atleast the good thing about being a kid means that I don't have to worry about paying bills, so I can use the extra money to buy more stuff!! Although I know that I should be saving it for my college fund. *sigh*. Oh well, I'll probably stop when I run out of money. I just need to stop checking ebay for new cheap manga auctions, and then I'll be fine.

Oh did you see the new picture I put up on "My manga collecton" post. I made my manga into a nice pretty square and then my cat, Yuuki, had to go and walk on top of it. Amazingly it didn't all tip over. I guess I did a good job setting it up. I would be mad if it tipped, it was a pain to get it to stay like that. I set my manga out like that because I was going to make a movie of my manga collection and put it on youtube. I am finished with that movie but it isn't quite accurate because I just bought another 15 volumes of manga off of ebay. Well maybe I can add it to the already existing video before I upload it.

Well, that's all I have to say for now, not quite intereasting huh? But it'll have to do, Bye!!!

My teachers want to torture me!!

I really have been neglecting this journal page. I'm not really into writing blogs, but I thought I'd try one because my friends all have blogs. But my friends have their blogs elsewhere, on websites I don't even remember what they're called. They don't even know I have a journal here. I don't even think they even know what Live Journal is. Oh well. I really don't care. I just like to write random things just for the heck of it. It doesn't matter to me if anyone reads it or not. Enough of that, let's get on to the real reason for this post. For those of you still in school, we all know that summer break is just around the corner. But unfortunatly my teachers just thought to torture me by bombarding me with end of the year projects. If that isn't enough just trying to study for the end of the year exams. But nooo, they just had to make it worse. I have 2 projects total. One project doesn't seem so hard but it is due next Tuesday, and I haven't even started!!! I've been too busy helping my dad load and unload his tools from his truck every night. (PS my dad's a mechanic). It's a pain both mentally and physically. But I just have to get over it. Right now I'd be working on my project but I don't have my necessary materials for it. Oh and my second project is a group project so I can't do anything without them. I feel so stressed because I dont think I can get it done on time. I'm one of those people who want to get things done 3 days before it's due to make sure we have enough time. And some of the people in my group are last-minute people. We don't really work well together. I can't finish our project unless they get their part done. And I can't always make sure they get it done because they always have problems about meeting after school. Most of them are just excusses. This is why I hate group projects. But I guess this is practice for my life of trying to cooperate with my co-workers. I hope when I get a real job I don't have to deal with anymore last-minute people. But I guess that's to much to hope for.

Well I'm done ranting about my school life. I'd like to talk about my current involvement of my favorite past-time, MANGA!!! Oh how I love manga! It's practically the only thing I think about. It's my reason for living. If manga didn't exist, I'd probably wouldn't have the amazing obssession of Japan that I have now. I first got this manga addiction by being introduced to anime. I use to love anime alot, but then I realized that manga is just more interesting. Anime is based off the manga afterall. I'm a freak for anime and manga, hence the reason for my username, AnimeFreakKatie. Not very unique but it says it all. If I knew of the word otaku before I made that username, and if I had the intense interest in manga then as I do now, then my username would probably have been MangaOtakuKatie. Or the like. But I have become quite fond of my username, one of the reasons being that I can abbreviate it as AFK. MOK seems a little weird.

Anyways, I want to rave about the new items I bought!!!! I'm a total Kaze Hikaru Fan almost as much as I'm a FMA fan. I own all the manga out in english so far. There's 13 volumes, I only have 12 on my bookshelf but vol. 13 is on it's way. I also bought Kaze Hikaru Drama CD vol. 1!!! I've been wanting it for awhile and since I had alot of money from cutting lawns, I could finally get it. Along with that I decided to also get Kaze Hikaru Sound Collection. I am wonder what is on it. Since Kaze Hikaru is not an anime it can't possible be an anime soundtrack. Speaking of anime, this should definetly be an anime!! Oh and I also got the kaze Hikaru Artbook. What I would like is some kaze hikaru posters and plushies. But I can't find any anywhere. Also lately I've been buying too much stuff, besides the kaze hikaru stuff, I've been buying manga like crazy. My collection of manga at september of 2008, was a little less than 100 volumes. During winter, I discovered the wonderful world of used books. Suddenly everything became so much cheaper and affordable!! What I used to buy for $10, I can now get 3 for the same price. Now I own about 300 volumes of manga. But I'm a careful about the books I buy. They have to be in very good or like new condition. If it looks no different than a new book, what's the problem? Ever since I first started buying used books, I got addicted right away. I was buying package after package of books. My main source was Ebay and the Garage Sale Japan community right her on live journal. I've bought books ranging from $1 to $4 each. But no more than that. I probably spent a few hundred dollars on all that manga, Right now I realize I need to slow down. Just awhile ago, a website called BookCloseout was having a sale that all manga was $1 each. And all of them were new too! I had jumped right on that. I had 90 voumes altogether in my cart, but I knew that was too much, I ended up dividing that in half and buying only 45 volumes. that was a biiig package. Oh!! I took a picture of it!! look below..

It's wonderful isn't it? I still haven't even read all of them. Some of them I'm not quite fond of so I plan to sale them later.

Well I have to get to bed now so I can't write anymore. I will post a whole list of them manga I own tomorrow. Bye!

Hey!! It's been awhile!! You know that picture I told you about awhile ago? The one I said I was coloring on photoshop? Well, I actually finished that months ago but I could figure out how to export it out of photo shop. I ended up printing it out and having to scan it. It doesn't look as good as it did straight from photoshop, but I guess it's okay.

It's chrono from chrono crusade. I still don't know what to but in the bubble........ Got any suggestions?

Sorry that I haven't made an entry in awhile. I've been busy working on my MMVs. I just finished my 6th music video. I am currently working on my 7th.   4 of my videos are just slide shows with my favorite anime and manga couples. I just have soooo many that I have to make multiple videos to contain them all. And I 'm still not finished. I should start making part 5 of my favorite anime and manga couples. Anyways the other 2 videos are tributes.   The first tribute I made was for Natsume and Mikan from Gakuen Alice. The other one is a tribute to Edward and Winry from Full Metal Alchemist. I just finished that one on Saturday. I uploaded it on youtube and I still don't have any comments on it. *sigh* oh well, I'm forcing one of my friends to put a comment on it later.

The video I am now in the process of making, though I haven't actally started yet, will be a tribute to Sesshoumaru and Rin from Inuyasha. I know some people have red flags going up when they hear about that couple since she's only 8. Don't worry, my video will be very innocent and only using pictures from the manga or pictures drawn by the author, Rumiko Takahashi.   This doesn't mean that I don't like Seshhoumaru and Rin as a couple. I actually love this couple!!! If it weren't for Natsume & Mikan from Gakuen Alice and Ranma & Akane from Ranma 1/2, They would be at the top of the list of my favorite anime and manga couples, of course, Edward and Winry would soon follow after. Don't get me wrong, I am against that type a relationship between them while Rin is still a kid. But you do realize that she will soon grow up, and Sesshoumaru will remain practically un-aged. Also Sesshoumaru is Rin's whole life, It wouldn't be surprising to see her have different feelings for him in the future.

Then again, there is Kohaku. Fan's keep throwing Rin and Kohaku together because his age is the closest to hers. But what I believe, is that they are only making Rin and Kohaku a couple just so they can get Rin out of the picture and leave Sesshoumaru single.

Hello~! It's been awhile hasn't it? I've got a trial version of photoshop and I've been using it to color in a picture. It's a picture of Chrono from volume 2. He looks really sexy~! XD Though I've been having problem's with it. It's taking longer than I thought. Also, I don't know if chrono's eye's are gold or not. In the anime his eyes are a pinkish redish brown color though I don't know if that is his true eye color. I have already colored them in as gold and I am probably going to keep them that way. Afterwards I hope to get better and better at using photoshop so I can use it for multipe things. Till then, I still have to finish the picture I'm on. It might take me forever to finish but I have good progress so far. When I'm done, I'll let all you guys see it.

Right now I'm trying to find a good new layout for my journal but since I only have a free account, my choices are limited. I wanted the pixel cat layout but I have to get a plus account in order to have it. I ended up choosing this grim reaper layout. I think it's kinda cool. I like it better than the other choices. I might end up changing it again sometime soon but I'm going to stick with this for awhile. My next objective is to create a couple new user pics. The one I have now is one that I have always used but It doesn't really go with the layout.

Hello, this shall be my first entry on LJ even though it has been awhile since I have joined. I'm not really used to writing blogs, but here I go anyway........ Today, was a normal friday, except today I was more eager to come home more than usual. That is of course because The new Chapter of ♥Gakuen Alice♥ and ♥Special A♥ was released! Fortunatly Mayume had made a full translation of Gakuen Alice's new chapter (Thank you soooo much Mayume!!!!) But for the special A chapter is only a little info on what the chapter is about. Tis no problem because I know Sorasan intends to make a summary as soon as she gets the scans!! (Go Sorasan!!) I so excited knowing that I will be able to see finn jealous. I anxiously waiting for the summary. At least I did get to see a preview on the Hana to Yume website. Oh~! how good it would be to live in japan and be able to stop by a manga store and just look at the whole chapter right when it is released. I will one day be able to do that!! But now I still have to rely on others......
Well, this is all I have to say for now, I won't gaurantee that my next journal entry will be any time soon. But in the mean time, I hope you guys know just a little bit more about me...... Till then. またね~!♥
